Rahul Gandhi To Address Adivasi Adhikar Satyagrah in Gujarat

Congress leader and the Loksabha MP Rahul Gandhi will launch the party’s Adivasi Adhikar Satyagrah campaign in Dahod, Gujarat, on May 10. Congress party in the state has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is ignoring the problems of the tribal community and depriving them of their constitutional rights. Gandhi will address the rally at the Navjivan Arts and Commerce College in the city.

Speaking to VoI, Gujarat Congress Chief Jagdish Thakor said that the party will continue this constant fight in the Parliament, the Legislative Assemblies and on the streets to secure the constitutional rights and special entitlements for the Adivasis. Gujarat Congress State in Charge Raghu Sharma, Congress Chief Jagdish Thakor and Amit Chavda are involved in the preparations for the campaign in Dahod. The three leaders are responsible for ensuring that everything is completely arranged for Gandhi’s viosit and that the campagin goes ahead smoothly.

Earlier this week, Gujarat Congress party leader Rajya Sabha MP Shaktisinh Gohil revealed information regarding Gandhi’s visit to state.  As Gujarat prepares for the assembly polls later this year, the state is seeing visits from top leaders from several parties. BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party leaders have already started visiting the state, leading campaigns and addressing rallies.
