Gujarat: Unseasonal Rain Expected At Over Eight Regions Including Surat, Vadodara

| Updated: April 18, 2022 08:12

As many as eight districts of Gujarat are expected to receive unseasonal rain on Wednesday, April 20 as a result of low-pressure formation, stated Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its statement.

According to the IMD, Amreli, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Dahod, Narmada, Surat, Tapi and Vadodara are likely to receive light to moderate thunderstorms along with lightening on Wednesday. The winds are likely to blow at a speed of 40 to 60 km per hour in these parts of the state.

The IMD in its statement further stated that there would be more or less no large change in the maximum temperature during the coming few days with the maximum temperature likely to be around 42 Degrees Celsius on Monday.

However, showers are not expected in Ahmedabad but the temperature in the city is likely to go down by 2-3 Degrees Celsius due to rain on Wednesday. This will be after the city recorded the second-highest maximum temperature at 42.4 Degrees Celsius in the state on Sunday.

Rajkot was the hottest place in Gujarat with 42.8 Degrees Celsius followed by Ahmedabad and next Surendranagar with 42.3 Degrees Celsius on Sunday.
