The wash-out due to heavy rains on July 11 flooded the railway tracks and roads between several routes. It has led to train cancellations and delays, and the authorities have closed the rail tracks.

Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat Chief Minister, assessed Gujarat’s monsoon situation as he travelled from Rajkot to Gandhinagar. He also took stock of the National and State Disaster Management teams responsible for rescue and relief.

Furthermore, the authorities have blocked 388 roads in Gujarat. Emergency response teams have evacuated 3,000 people from flood-prone regions of the state.

As per the initial information, airlines at the Ahmedabad airport have postponed their three flights for two and a half hours. Moreover, they diverted two flights and cancelled one.
